Mr Deepak Gupta is the Founder and Chairman of The Denita Group of Companies. The Group makes direct investments in physical properties in London and Singapore. In addition, the Group manages a portfolio of highly liquid actively managed funds which invest in various asset classes in the public financial markets.
Deepak started his professional career as an undergraduate student working for student business clubs and university engineering departments. After his Bachelor’s degree, he worked in his family business in supply chain management. Subsequent to his Master’s degree, he worked with multinational companies in consumer and industrial products.
Deepak became an entrepreneur at the age of 30 when he started his first business. Over the years, he has founded, then built and then sold various companies, in property, shipping and logistics. He has many years of full time work experience across sectors, geographies, functions and responsibilities.
Deepak completed high school from St Xavier's College (Mumbai). He holds a BS (Double Major in Engineering and Business) from Carnegie Mellon University and a MBA from INSEAD.
Deepak is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and served 6 consecutive years on the Singapore Chapter Executive Committee in various leadership positions. He is also a member of the Chief Executives Organization.
At INSEAD, Deepak is a Member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Chairman of the Nominations Committee. He is also a Member of the Campaign Board, the International Council and the Circle of Patrons.
At Carnegie Mellon University, Deepak is a Member of the College of Engineering Dean’s Advocacy Council and serves as the Co-Chairman of the Membership Committee. He is also a Member of the Highlands Circle.
Deepak has studied and worked in Asia, Europe and North America. He is fluent in English, French and Hindi. He is an overseas citizen of India, a citizen of the United Kingdom and a resident of Singapore.
